Crater Lake National Park
This would be our first, and ONLY night of tent camping. You see, it was planned to do a lot more, but after my behavior throughout the night and early into the morning, mom and dad scrapped the tents and instead we stayed in cabins. That's how I like to do it. And this is a bear box, apparently they are in the campground nightly, so we had to protect our stash. Dad threatened to put me in there the next night...
See Hayesy and me? This was the MOST beautiful place! Absolutely gorgeous!
Take note of my footwear (and how cute my brother and I are walking hand in hand around the campground). I'm breaking in my soccer cleats. They became GREAT hiking shoes!
Active parenting. Mom reading to us, but really showing off her new kicks.
S'mores, of course. And the tents in the background. Didn't work out so well...
On our hike down to Crater Lake. It was COLD!
Mom was overwhelmed by Crater Lake. i guess we were, too ,a little. It was so blue!
See those boats way down there? That's where we had to hike to, and it was STEEP! Even steeper coming back up, i assure you.
I slept on the boat after screaming for a while. I was VERY tired after crying off and on all night. Look at the lady behind Mom cheesing it up!
Can you get over that gorgeous water?
Cold AND windy!
Probably my favorite part about Crater Lake was the tractor.

Deja vu, with better pics. Inspires me to dig up the old family photos of our Seattle World's Fair trip, which included a stop at Crater Lake on the return.
What a beautiful lake! Poor little Hayesy, what's the deal big guy? Great cleats Reeder and what a great way to break them in.
What a gorgeous lake- Though not near so cute as my Reeder and Hayes- Love the pics!
