Memorial Day Celebration

Memorial Day here in Southern Cal, and I guess wherever you are, too! We always go to a small celebration in whatever town we happen to be in this time of year. In 2009, we went to Fallbrook, to honor those who've lossed their lives for our country. No, i don't quite understand what that means, but I did have some questions while at the cemetery. Like, why don't we have a stone? And why aren't we allowed to step on those stones? Mom seemed to avoid those questions, but we had a wonderful time nonetheless.
