Let's head West, to end up East

You may think that driving to Cincy would be a straight shot. That you'd just rip off the band aid and get driving. Not us, nope. Anyone between here and there, and even those not really in between, we'll stop and see. So, first, we head to San Diego. You may not realize it, but driving 3 hours southwest is actually a productive way to begin a roadtrip in which you want to end up northeast. So, we went to Ms. Kara and Mr. Michael's house. As usual, Mom forgot to take pictures-even though it was Mr. Michael's birthday while we were there. And we went to the beach, the zoo, the zoo again.

From there, we went and picked Papa Jerry up to join us. Why wouldn't he want to do another roadtrip with our wonderful family? Alright, now that we've got him, we're REALLY ready to start our trip.

Eeerrr. Stop. 70 miles down. 1 hour break at Grandma Cherry's house. Gotta give her the proper love and goodbye since we won't see her for a while. Grandma has an awesome water fountain...that we ended up using as more of a swimming pool...

And, voila, just like that, we end up at Glacier Ice Cream in Boulder! Cheers Eden!

Of course, we got some, too! Delicious!

But Papa Jerry is on a super diet. He barely ever eats. Big Mama has starved 25 pounds off the guy. He's, like, tiny. So, he get's a tiny ice cream cone. That's all he gets.
Notice that Mom "forgot" to take a pic of the banana split she shared with Bizzy. It wasn't tiny.

And every so often we think that we should act super cute and remind Mom why she loves us SOOOO much. So, we heard her coming to bed and pretended to be asleep, loving each other.
No way, Reed, we really were asleep! And I LOVE SWUGGLIN!

here's a glimpse of our life in public. No, you don't quite get everyone, like Hayes, Coop, Opa, or my Mom, but I think you can feel the chaos. Papa's hat is disheveled (because his other one Lefty either ate of stepped on, depending on who's story you hear), playdough everywhere. Did you know that BM and BJ knew the chemistdude who helped invent playdough!? WOW!

The reason for the trip to the Buff. Cooper. He is slightly, no majorly, obsessed with food network. Man vs Food highlighted the saddlebags at the buff. Pancakes with bacon or sausage, topped with egg (medium for coop)-he LOVED them. Well, we ALL did. And isn't he so teenage serious?

I have come down with a condition since arriving in Boulder. Eden induced narcolepsy. That's EIN. You see, we'll be walking down the, say, Pearl Street, and I will drop. The only thing that gets me back to normal is a kiss from Eden. Kind of sleeping beauty meets Cinderella (notice my shoe that normally falls off right before the drop).

That's it for now. Gonna help Bizzy make some cookies and we're off to Tulsa in the AM. Arrividerci!

The old Zig Zag route certainly makes sense, but I'm wondering why you aren't also stopping by Chicago to see Am and Ev and then maybe even on to Philly to meet up with Max on her way back from VT.

I do like Jerry's cone. Now that is one diet cone.

I can't say I'm surprised that the trip is indirect! Enjoy the adventure.
